Just checking in from California to say what an awesome time we had on the water yesterday with our Team Dagger Paddle at the Riverstore in Coloma, CA yesterday! The weather could not have been better and the water level was great. California local and Dagger friend Diane Gaydos helped me out with the paddle and we were joined by lots of great people for a run down the "C to G" section of the South Fork of the American.

We started out at the Riverstore getting everyone outfitted into Dagger boats that they had been wanting to check out, with the Axiom and Mambas being the most popular choices.

After getting warmed up at Marshall Gold Park, we cruised downstream catching eddies and surfing waves the whole way down. About halfway through the run we got to the Blue House Hole, a hole that at times can be a little munchy. Fortunately at yesterday's level it was just sticky enough to make it intimidating but just friendly enough to make most people still want to try to surf it. Most of the group at least gave it a shot and had a great time either playing in or watching others play in the hole.

After taking out, we all headed back to the Riverstore to socialize over BBQ and beers as well as check out the awesome sale the store was having. We even had one member of our group be so blown away by the Axiom that the first thing he did when he got back to the store was buy one for himself!
