Each year at this time the rivers here in Colorado begin to drop and summer quickly turns to fall. Its also during this season that the annual Gore Canyon race takes place near the headwaters of the Colorado river. Every August a large group of kayakers, rafters and all kinds of river lovers converge at the Pumphouse campground just west of Kremmling, Colorado to see who is the fastest person down the 5 miles of class IV and V whitewater.

I know that many on the team as well as thousands of other paddlers love the Green boat in all types of conditions and water levels. When I read this on BT I figured it would be a good one to share. Regardless of your size it seems everyone that paddles a Green boat loves it.

As many know I suffered a huge set back in early June at the Teva Mountain games during the steep creek championships on Homestake. This stretch of river is my back yard run and a place I have run hundreds of times. Here we are again, the first week of June in Vail, Colorado. With above average snowpack and great flows happening right now the stage is set for some the best paddling competitions on the planet. Creeking, downriver, freestyle and of course the 8-Ball (picture smash up derby meets paddle cross). Over the last 8 years the events held her in Vail for the Teva Games have become the standard by which other events are judged.
