Paddling is great cross-training for other sports. It builds upper body and core strength and is great for balance and endurance. It is a fun way to get out and enjoy the outdoors and a nice break from the gym. It is also a great way to beat the heat on hot summer days. Kayaking trips are a good way to get out in the wilderness because the boat carries the weight of your gear.
