One little thing at a time

Over the last couple of weeks I've been listening to the news a lot. Man, there's a lot happening out there in the world and I realized how easy it is to just get overwhelmed and tune out. French Broad River Clean-up

This past weekend I joined American Whitewater for a river clean-up on section nine of the French Broad. River clean-ups give you a great sense for what people think of as trash and what they just throw into the environment. Apparently chewing tobacco cans and most plastic bottles are thought of as disposable, major bummer there:( The list of the more interesting ranged from fishing rods to motorcycle helmets to fisher price toys and of course car tires (I think the total was close to twenty).… Continue
