Kicking off the Whitewater Grand Prix

Being asked to compete in the Whitewater Grand Prix this year was an incredible privilege. I figured out that I had been invited just a few weeks before the event, but I was set on making it happen. Upper Cherry Creek, California

You all have probably heard of the infamous Cherry Creek in California. If you haven't it's a High Sierra classic that you should put on your to-do list. I was lucky enough to paddle the upper section last summer along with Lane Jacobs, Louis Geltman, Jay Gifford, and Seth Swallen. "Sweet shots!  The Bull Run nr Multnomah Falls gauge is a really good correlation for predicting flows.  400 cfs is a good minimum.  "
