Love my new Green Boat!

I just a got my new green boat in and just love it. I paddled it first at the Cherry Cr Race in Cali, but took it out on the Slab Cr run of the SF American yesterday. There are certain runs I stopped…Continue

To let you in on lil' secret, all the gopro shots were taken by me. I borrowed like 4 different Nomads on 4 different runs. And my elbow pads were MIA; so, I fashioned what I could at the put-in. Foam duck taped on your elbows doesn't work…

Cali Fall Boating!

Most people that think of Cali boating don’t consider the Fall time to be that great but there are many years when we are blessed by the fact that most all of our rivers have a dam on them. So far this season we received scheduled releases on the NF Feather, and SF Feather which were negotiated by AW. The NF Feather offers road side whitewater for all boaters. There is a nice 2 mile class IV-V stretch that you can run laps on all day. During September this year not much was running but like…See More

Postpile Beatdown!

What a summer in Cali! The goods just never stopped. I was blessed with the opportunity to get on the Middle San Joaquin again this year and what an amazing place this is. Day one of the trip there's this awesome drop that has a sticky hole in the beginning and then a rolling falls that requires a good boof stroke. Well I blew the line up top and paid the price at the bottom. It seems that most of the footage out there is people stylin' everything so why not enjoy a good beat down. Big thanks…See More

Thomas Moore replied to Collin's discussion 'bent shaft vs straight shaft paddles'
Here's one more opinion. I paddle a straight shaft over the bent because I feel as though it gives you a little more leverage with the boof however I feel the AT paddle is the exception. It has leverage, it's comfortable but its also one…

It's nice to hear stories about working through tough even scary times on the river. I think it's something people should share more of so we can all learn from it. Pat, do you have any pictures of the falls or the cave?

Great to hear it Thomas! I always love to hear good things about the Green Boat. This project was our baby. Seemed like so much of the kayaking world had moved into the short boat direction (creekers and play) so we were dying to get something out…

South Branch Middle Feather

If your not in Cali right now you should be. South Branch is for sure one of the best one day runs in Cali, perhaps in the world. Not sure about the world part but if you have been all around the world then perhaps you can chime in. There have been so many people up on the S Branch this year and it is getting ran…
