Truchas Combo

To get in to Truchas you have to put in on the road and hike in to the jungle for some minutes, then get to a scary cliff where you set up a rappel, and rappel down into the canyon, ones you are there it’s all about having fun.  Truchas is a perfect 60 ft waterfall, it has a nice boof into a pool and into the perfect drop, it has become a classic in the last years.  What’s not that popular is the upper rapid. We hit the right level, and  decided it to give it a go to Truchas Combo, that…See More

How to properly throw your paddle of a waterfall.

Throwing your paddle of a waterfall is not something you should just decide spontaneously, if you´ve

decided you are going to throw it, you should know it before running it.

This move has some pros and some contras:…

Going off the lip

Running waterfalls is one of my favorite things in kayaking, even thought it only lasts for few seconds, it is one of the greatest feelings ever. That doesn’t mean you should go and run every single drop you find, running a waterfall takes big responsibility and compromise with yourself and with all the people you are paddling with.

If you’ve decided to start running big drops, I mean from 50 feet up, here are some moves that might help you to get that perfect line:

1. First of all… Continue

Global Warming: Side effects.

Global warming is affecting Earth, that’s a fact everyone knows, or at least everyone should know.

There are hundreds of things you might know about global warming, from stuff you’ve heard in the news, or read on the books, like for example: cars and other producers of Co2 are one of the main cause, or the most popular one: polar bears are drowning cause of the ice melting.

All this information you get from the communication media it’s true and you shouldn’t ignore it. But right now I… Continue
