Day one of the ramp is finished and there are 10 high flyers movin on to Saturdays showdown. True to form the ramp delivered some big tricks as well as some spectacular crashes. This past weekend I joined American Whitewater for a river clean-up on section nine of the French Broad. River clean-ups give you a great sense for what people think of as trash and what they just throw into the environment. Apparently chewing tobacco cans and most plastic bottles are thought of as disposable, major bummer there:( The list of the more interesting ranged from fishing rods to motorcycle helmets to fisher price toys and of course car tires (I think the total was close to twenty). Another successful Jerry's Baddle past us! For those of you that don't know Jerry's Baddle is an event, in memory of Jerry Beckwith, combining a full run of the Green River Narrows and a 26 mile road bike ride (with a lot of elevation gain). The best part about the event is that it benefits ALS and the Green River access fund, two very worthy causes. With spring right around the corner here in the southeast and rain in the forecast I thought I’d share a bit about outfitting your Dagger kayak. The great thing about Dagger’s outfitting is that it strikes a nice balance of being functional but still very easy to adjust and set up.
