Hi There, I just got myself a Mamba 8.0 and I am wondering if anyone can tell me the best way to store the boat when not in use.  I have read a few different things like standing it on end or hanging it on its side.  I am new to the sport so any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Keith

Hey Keith,

First off congrats on getting a mamba and getting into whitewater kayaking! Second in answer to your question: Boats in general are pretty durable. There are a few storage techniques that can help keep your boat in good shape and pro long its life. The biggest thing is if you are putting your boat away for an extended period of time get it out of direct sunlight. The best places are in a garage, basement, or some place else with a roof. This also serves to get it out of the weather in general a bit. As to storage position either standing on its tail or on its side is fine. If you have the capacity to hang that's great as well. Big thing here, check it for creeping things when you bring it out for the first time:) Hope that helps and enjoy your boat.

be safe
