I just got a new mamba, play series, was adjusting the seat and went to tighten the two sliding screws on the side and notice they were extremely loose, the nut that is, which is behind the hip pad. should this be tight or kept slack to slide seat, thanks for a swift answer.

Hey Chris,

sorry for the delay in getting back to you.  In answer to your question, the screw on your seat should only be tightened from the top with a philips head screwdirver.  You do not need the bolt on the inside of the seat to be snug against the top of the seat pillar.  There is another self tightening T nut that is on top of the seat pillar that keeps the seat bolt tight on the boat.  The loosness of the bolt inside the seat pillar (the one behind the hip pad) is what allows the seat to slide.  let me know if you have any other questions.  Thanks and enjoy your new boat!

be safe
