Mamba Vs Nomad

Hi all

Which to buy between the Nomad or the Mamba? Any views?

I like rivers like North Fork of the Payette / Bhote Kosi, Nepal. Also keen to get to Corsica and Chile.

Hey Doug,

That's a good question. Based on the two rivers you mentioned above I'd steer you slightly towards the mamba (make sure you get the creek seat version). The reason being is that the planning hull usually handles a bit better on bigger water for folks. It really would come down to what you paddle most often. If you're primary paddling spots are like the N. Fork of Payette/Bhote Kosi then I'd go Mamba for the above reason and it will handle the steeper more technical runs fine. However if you spend more time on these technical runs its Nomad all the way. Let me know if you have more questions and see you on the river!

Thanks for the reply. One more question. What about the GT series Vs the Mamba?
I suppose with the higher volume, the Mamba is more forgiving on bigger volume and the GT can be more playful?

I've been paddling this boat a lot lately and have really enjoyed it. It surfs well but still has the speed/volume to paddle downstream well. Good luck out there and talk to you later
