Mamba vs. Nomad weight?!
Kinda confused why the Mamba creeker 8.0 with 62 gallons, 8' and 47 lbs., comes in a pound *heavier* than the Nomad 8.5 with 78 gallons and 8'5". Both have the same seat and step-out pillar, with the Nomad ostensibly the tougher of the two. What up?

George, sorry this has taken a bit to get back to you on. Off the top of my head I would say that the Mamba 8.0 creeker receives a similar amount of plastic as the Nomad (and more than its regular mamba 8.0 counterpart) because its expected to get an equal amount of abuse as the Nomad. More plastic does make it heavier but it also means it will hold up to more stress. If you're getting a creekseat and step out pillar in there we kind of assumed that it would be put under a bit of duress. However just to be sure this is the correct response I've asked some other folks at Dagger and will update you with more info as soon as I hear back. Thanks for all the good quesitons!

Hey George, just wanted to give you an update on this. I was headed in the right direction with my answer before. I spoke with some of the guys in R & D and they said that the Mamba 8.0 creeker and the Nomad 8.5 are so similar in weight because the Mamba despite being smaller actually has a similar surface area (think the planning hull). This combined with its profile requires it have more plastic to keep its shape. Hope that helps and talk to you later
